Going to events is part of my job (my full time job that is—no idea what I’m talking about watch this). So when attending these events the struggle is always what to wear.
To some extent I like to keep my outfits in “theme” with the celebrations. Let me explain because I certainly don’t mean matchy, matchy. Say I’m attending an event to celebrate the opening of the Botanical Gardens well I would most likely wear something bright and airy. Not necessarily anything with a floral print but perhaps a dress with some movement, flowly in nature. Paired with a fabulous summer hat and some Jackie O inspired sunnies and I would be on my merry way. Plus the accessories would not only be chic but functional. This made up event is taking place outside, right? Ha-ha!
Get the idea?
Okay so then, last week when I was invited to the Cartier Panthère event the first thing that came to mind was timeless and uber classic. Enter my pearled button blazer dress. This dress has structure yet feminine touches—which as you know is always my go to. I decided to pair it with some nude heels and pearl earrings, as I didn’t want any attention being drawn away from the dress. Let’s just say it was the perfect outfit, if I do say so myself. ☺
