Fall is quickly approaching and if you’re anything like me you are ready to entertain at home, bottle of wine in hand. So, today I’ve partnered up with Louis Jadot (America’s #1 selling French wine, may I just add!) to bring you the perfect “Date Night In” idea.
Let’s skip a night out on the town and stay in for a mouthwatering home cooked meal and of course, lots and lots of wine!
What’s on tonight’s menu you ask?!
White Truffle “Mac and Cheese” Gnocchi paired with Louis Jadot’s Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay. The citrus and floral aromas of this wine along with the hints of mineral notes are the perfect match to the rich, buttery, and creaminess of my pasta. I’ll just say it. It was heavenly!
So, sit back, grab a glass or three of this phenomenal wine and watch on!

White Truffle “Mac and Cheese” Gnocchi Recipe… coming right up!
Serving Size: 2
1 small shallot
½ a cup of shredded Fontina cheese
½ a cup of shredded Gruyere cheese
1 tablespoon of butter
½ a teaspoon of flour
¼ a cup of heavy cream
1 tablespoon of salt
¼ a pound of fresh gnocchi
1 tablespoon of white truffle butter
Parmesan Cheese (for garnish)
Begin by dicing a small shallot and shredding the cheeses. Then in a saucepan, melt butter and add diced shallot over medium heat. Once, shallot is opaque in color add flour and continuously stir. Lower heat significantly, add cream, and mix. Then, turn the burner off.
In another saucepan add water and salt and let it come to a boil. Add fresh gnocchi for about 1-2 minutes or until gnocchi is floating on top of the water. Remove gnocchi with a spoon and add to cream mixture. Allow some pasta water to transfer into the mixture. Mix all ingredients together. Add cheese and a dollop of white truffle butter. Continue to combine until cheeses and butter are melted. Serve warm and enjoy!
I hope this inspires you to host a date night in with Louis Jadot wine in hand! And as always, if you do make sure to take lots of pics. Don’t forget to post on social media by using hashtag #LoveJadot. Can’t wait to see!
Until next time!
