It’s Tea Time!

Hosting a Tea Party
With all the entertaining that I do, my best friend thought it would be a great idea to gift me with a tea set. I couldn’t agree more, ha! ha!

How to host a tea party
So, of course the second these fashionable tea cups and saucers were in my hands, I got right to it and put them to very good use!

I invited some friends over on Sunday afternoon and hosted a tea party à la event fashionista. A super simple shindig with peppermint tea, wheat crackers, fig spread, and some tasty macaroons. All of which, I picked up at Trader Joe’s! Yes, talk about a one stop shop!

As for the styling {always one of my favorite things!} I paired my gorgeous tea set with some blue napkins and gold flatware. It was a perfect match! I then set out my treats on a cake stand and a small serving plate accompanied with its very own bowl. Oh, and lucky me the lemons that I set out for the tea were just the right pop of color my table needed.

Lastly, but never least I grabbed a hydrangea stem and dropped it into my vintage looking vase—a favorite of mine! If you know me, you know I’d never forget the flowers! They just add the right touch of sophistication to just about anything!

I must say, with the chillier weather lately, tea was the perfect way to celebrate my Sunday afternoon and the new season. Hope you are all ready for some tea time! Now go on, play hostess and entertain your butt off!
