This past week was my niece’s, little Sophie’s birthday (my best friend’s daughter) and in honor of her birthday I thought I’d share some kids birthday party ideas to get your juices flowing the next time you have to host your very own!
For my tablescape, which quickly became a sea of pinks and purples, I used Blush Glam craft paper I bought at Michaels (kid friendly, of course!) as place mats, added my West Elm Metallic Rimmed plates—not to worry, these are for the adults. I kept the paper plates on hand for the kids—and gold dotted milk bottles filled with sugar free lemonade. A couple of lavender paper straws, polka dot napkins, party hats, and feathered pens and I was well on my way.
At the center of it all, I used two candle holders (found in the $1 bins at Target) and filled them with colorful gumballs. To top it all off I DIY-ed myself through a doughnut cake, put it on a white cake stand and added the cutest, most glittery birthday candles ever! Found them at one of my favorite boutiques, 23 South. You must check them out!
Best part about the whole thing, is this cake requires no baking, which is a definite plus for me. Serve the doughnuts (no cutting either!) alongside some ice cream and you’ve got some happy, happy kids!
I hope these kids’ birthday party ideas inspire you the next time you have a birthday around the corner! Oh and don’t you worry, I’ll be sharing how to “make” this doughnut cake on my YouTube channel this week. So, stay tuned and don’t forget to subscribe!
Until next time!
