Before a night out on the town, I usually invite my girlfriends over for a cocktail and an appetizer. I find it’s a fun way to begin what will be hours of chitchatting and uncontrollable laughter.
So, to inspire all of you to get together here’s a strawberry margarita and homemade salsa recipe that is perfect for your “Ladies Night” festivities. It is a light appetizer and I must say it is a-ma-zing! Ideal for impromptu entertaining or really any occasion because let’s be honest, when something is good, it is good!
Hostess Tip: My girlfriends and I can never decide where to go, so we’ve begun drawing cuisine/restaurants out of a hat. Literally! (Thought I’d share that in case you encounter the same issue whenever going out!)
Okay, so without further ado here are the must try recipes:
Strawberry Margarita Recipe:
- 2 ½ cups of strawberries
- ¼ cup of Cointreau
- ¾ cup of Jose Cuervo Tequila
- 2 tablespoon of honey
- 2 ½ cups of ice
Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a strawberry for flair.
Homemade Salsa Recipe:
½ cup of strawberries
½ cup of mango
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
Pinch of salt and pepper
Fresh lime juice to taste
Cube mango/strawberries, chop cilantro and combine. Squeeze in fresh lime juice and add salt and pepper to taste. It’s that easy!
As always, hope you give this one a try and then let me know what you think. Enjoy the R&R without the boys!
Till next time.
