The cooler weather is officially here, so we are just in time for layers, jackets and of course comfort food. Today, I’m sharing three panini ideas that will have you grabbing seconds and thirds.
Side note: Is it me, or am I always grabbing seconds and thirds? Ha-Ha! A girl can’t help herself! 🙂
Okay, now back to today’s agenda…
The thinking behind these three panini “recipes” is that they require little to no cooking. They are simple, weeknight and/or weekend meals that will have you eating in minutes!
So, without further ado, here are the three “recipes:”
Grilled Chicken, Mozzarella and Pesto Panini
Using Trader Joe’s Grilled Chicken Strips (already cooked), mozzarella cheese and Trader Joe’s Genova Pesto sauce, I went ahead and assembled this panini. It is truly the ultimate comfort food. The gooey cheese, charred grilled chicken and warm pesto sauce, are the perfect combination!
Turkey, Green Apple and Brie Cheese Panini
Deli turkey, some crisp green apple and melted brie cheese makes this panini a definite must try. The creaminess of the brie paired with the tartness of the apple are a match made in heaven!
Milk Chocolate, Strawberry and Brie Cheese Panini
Need a sweeter option? Try this dessert-like panini. All you’ll need is milk chocolate (I melted some store bought chocolate chips in the microwave), sliced strawberries, and brie cheese! The perfect amount of sweetness in every bite!
For all three panini recipes, I used Stonefire’s orginial or whole grain naan bread (which, as you know is my favorite!). Put each of them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-12 minutes and voilà. Heavenly panini in under 15 minutes!
